Chocolate Chip Marble Shortbreadπ¦
Ingredients
For the Plain Shortbread
- 1 Β½ Cup Plain Flour
- 1/2 Cup White Sugar
- 1/2 Tsp Baking Powder
- 1/4 Tsp Salt
- 3/4 Cup Softened Butter
- Handful of chocolate chips for the top (decoration)
For the Chocolate Dough
- 1/8 Cup Cocoa Powder
- 1/8 Cup Milk
- 1/4 Cup Chocolate Chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 175ΒΊC
For the Plain Dough
- Mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt1 Β½ Cup Plain Flour, 1/2 Cup White Sugar, 1/2 Tsp Baking Powder, 1/4 Tsp Salt
- Mix in your softened butter until a crumbly dough forms3/4 Cup Softened Butter
For the Chocolate Dough
- Separate about 1/4 of your plain dough into a bowl
- Mix in your cocoa powder and milk until your dough is uniform in colour1/8 Cup Cocoa Powder, 1/8 Cup Milk
- Mix in your 1/4 cup of chocolate chips1/4 Cup Chocolate Chips
Assembling the Shortbread
- Layer your dough alternating the plain and chocolate dough in a small rectangle dish until all your dough is used up
- Sprinkle some extra chocolate chips on top of your dough
- Bake in your preheated oven for 20-25 mins
