What is a Blondie?
First things first, what exactly is a blondie? Essentially, a blondie is a brownie without the chocolate. It’s a chewy, dense, and buttery bar of cookie that’s usually made with brown sugar and vanilla. Since blondies don’t contain chocolate, they’re the perfect base for adding other ingredients like nuts, toffee, or in this case, funfetti cake!
Blondies are believed to have originated in New England during the 20th century. Their name comes from their light, golden-brown colour, which is similar to the hair colour of a blonde. Blondies are often compared to brownies, but they have a slightly different texture and flavour.
One of the things that make blondies so versatile is that they can be made with a variety of ingredients. Some popular variations include adding chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, or peanut butter. The possibilities are endless, and you can customize your blondies to fit your taste and preferences.
What’s the Texture of a Funfetti Cake Blondie?
Now that we know what a blondie is, let’s talk about the texture of Funfetti Cake Blondies. These blondies have the perfect combination of chewiness and cakey texture. The addition of sprinkles and white chocolate chips gives them a nostalgically sweet flavour, while the sugar and butter keep them dense and chewy.
The rainbow sprinkles in Funfetti Cake Blondies add a fun and festive element to the texture. They provide a satisfying crunch that contrasts with the chewy base and creates a delicious mouthfeel. The sprinkles also add a pop of color to the blondies, making them perfect for parties or any occasion that calls for a fun and colorful dessert.
