- 1/2 Large Egg (Use other half for a two-serving chocolate chip cookie recipe from above)
Cinnamon Roll Filling
- 1/8 Cup Softened Salted Butter
- 1/3 Cup Brown Sugar
- 1 Tbsp Ground Cinnamon
Frosting:
- 3/4 Cup Powdered Sugar
- Few Tbsps Milk
Step-by-Step Instructions
Cinnamon Roll Dough
- Mix together the flour, salt and instant yeast in bowl1 ⅓ Cup Plain Flour, 1/4 Tsp Salt, 1 ⅛ Tsp Instant Dry Yeast
- In a separate bowl/heat-proof jug, mix together your warm water, warm milk and melted butter and mix until combined 1/4 Cup Warm Water, 1/8 Cup Salted Melted Butter, 1/8 Cup Warm Milk
- Add your butter-milk Mixture into your dry ingredients along with 1/2 an egg and your white sugar 1/8 Cup White Sugar, 1/2 Large Egg
- Mix until a rough dough forms
- Knead your dough on a lightly floured surface for around 5-7 mins
- Leave your dough to rise for around 35 mins or until doubled in size
Cinnamon Roll Filling
- Mix together your butter, brown sugar and cinnamon until combined1/8 Cup Softened Salted Butter, 1/3 Cup Brown Sugar, 1 Tbsp Ground Cinnamon
- Set aside until your dough has finished rising
Assembling the Cinnamon Rolls
- Roll our your risen dough into a rectangle
- Spread your cinnamon filling onto your dough
- Roll up your dough into a log (see video below for more info)
- Divide your log into 4 equal portions, using a serrated knife
- Place your rolls in a greased baking dish and let rise again for around 35-45 mins or until doubled in size
- Preheat your oven to 190ºC
- Bake your risen rolls in your preheated oven for around 20-25 mins or until golden brown
For the Sweet Icing
- Mix together your sifted powdered sugar and milk until combined (add more milk for a runny icing and less milk for a thicker icing)3/4 Cup Powdered Sugar, Few Tbsps Milk
