- 1/8 Cup White Sugar
- 1/4 Cup Plain Flour
- Pinch Of Salt
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 175ºC

- Add your chocolate mixture into your egg mixture and mix until combine
- Fold in your flour and salt and mix until just combined (do not over mix!!)
- Grease 3 large single serve pans (linked above) with oil/butter. Then dust each pan with sugar so that all areas are coated in sugar (this prevents the cake from sticking to the pans after baking)
- Evenly divide your batter between your three pans
- Bake your lava cakes in your preheated oven for around 9-10 mins or until the sides of the cake are firm but the middle is jiggly (otherwise your lava cake will have no lava)
- After baking, release your cakes from the pans, serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce and chocolate hard shell and enjoy!
How to Serve Your Lava Cake Like Chili’s
One of the best things about Chili’s Lava Cake is how beautifully it presents. The hot cake is a sharp contrast to the cool and creamy ice cream that sits on top of it. For those who truly want to replicate Chili’s level of restaurant-quality, presentation is key. Here are a few tips to make sure that your lava cakes look and taste perfect:
- Use high-quality ingredients: For best results, use high-quality chocolate and butter that are simple and do not contain any added flavors.
- Serve immediately: Lava cakes are best served fresh out of the oven. Let the ramekins cool for 1-2 minutes before putting them on a plate or serving them. Timing is key, as the longer the cake sits, the more it will start to solidify.
- Garnish with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, magic shell and caramel sauce!
Chili’s Lava Cake Recipe Storage
If you have leftovers of your Chili’s Lava Cakes, know that they can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Make sure to let the cake cool down at room temperature before putting them in the fridge. When you’re ready to eat the cake, you can reheat the lava cakes by microwaving them for 20-30 seconds or placing them in the oven at 350°F for about 5-7 minutes.
